Very good food and service. Bit of a limited menu if you do low carb. Chili was very good.

Looking for a place with homemade cooking in a 50's atmosphere? This is the place for you!!! Great food where you can get breakfast for dinner if you want too. Prices are very reasonable. You need to try this place out. We went tonight for dinner and we are going again for breakfast.

My mom and I decided to try somewhere new for breakfast last week & it was here. Sunday morning and only a 15 minute wait, we were happy with that. However, our food took 45 minutes and while it was good, it was not worth a 45 minute wait. Our service was okay, but being that I serve as well, I know she could have done a better job (fake it till you make it). I would go back but hopefully get better service next time.

1st time there, menu says homemade. Husband had meatloaf, you could tell it was out of the Sysco bag. The gravy was not homemade either, he ate the broccoli. I ordered Groupers 2nd cousin, the outside was crunchy, the inside very wet, I think it was fried from frozen. Needless to say after the second bite, we asked for the check. When asked if the food was ok, we told them no.

First time at this restaurant. Service was really good. We had 4 different burgers between us all and they were great. Onion strings were fabulous. Good fries. Clean and comfortable, decor was fun.

If you love classic style diners, this is your spot! Food was great, service was good too. If we lived in the area, we would definitely make this our breakfast joint.

This place is really neat. Sort of like a Mel's Diner but better in it's own way. The food is delicious the breakfast is amazing the burgers are amazing. The soda is kinda flat. But the coffee is pretty good. Great milkshakes as well. Service is pretty decent. The portions are kind of weak in the breakfast though if you like a hearty breakfast. The lunch and dinner portions are good though. The sweet potatoes fries are amazing. I would definitely recommend a burger, sweet potato fries, and a chocolate malt milkshake. You would definitely not regret it. Unless you're on a diet or something.

Yummy, had breakfast for dinner, my favorite. Great pancakes! Good prices. Husband had a Reuben, he was pleased. Had entertainment tonight, not too loud. Decor is a 50's diner, very clean!

Typical diner menu, burgers, sandwiches, breakfast all day and even blue plate specials (think meatloaf, liver and onions, open faced sandwiches, etc.). Check out their Facebook pics for their menu. Cool 50's decor inside with murals and a "drive-in movie theater"showing old movies. I had the Reuben sandwich which was very good. They make their corned beef in house and it was excellent. It seemed that it was baked with a sweet brown sugar glaze which was very tasty. I will go back and try their breakfast next time.

Cute little place! The food is decent, and the prices are good. It is tucked away, so you can still get in without much competition. I love the ambiance!

A work Colleague and I were in the area and decided to give this new Diner a go. They have been open about 5 weeks at the time we visited They did a decent job of decorating and the Elvis statue out front does grab one's attention. They didn't quite measure up in capturing the feel of an American Diner of the 50's-early 60's. It would've been a great addition to have the servers dressed in period dress rather that logo-ed t-shirts. Lunch staffing was not adequate taking 10 minutes from seating to being greeted by the server. The Hostess took the drink order and soon thereafter the server showed up. The menu makes an attempt at a throw-back offering but is missing several classics, such as a chef's salad. The food was delivered in a reasonable time for lunch however the overall greeting to serving time is not quite quick enough for working people. Food was average, portions appropriate. The overall experience says that they have just missed the mark...not quite up to recreating a vintage diner, both in food and decor.

We were anxious to try this diner since it opened. On Sunday, May18, 2014 we finally got our chance. Unfortunately we won't go back. We had breakfast which was okay. Nothing exciting about fried eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. All were acceptable. However, the "gentleman" who we assumed to be the manager was setting out silverware on the empty tables and he dropped one setting on the floor. Granted the fork and knife are wrapped in a napkin. At first we were impressed because he picked up what he dropped and put it in his pocket then continued on his task. Unfortunately when he got back to the hostess station where they keep the silverware, he took the set out of his pocket, which had hit the floor and put in the bin with all the other silverware ready to be put out on the next empty set of tables. If the manager does this, what does the hired help do? If they care so little about sanitation in areas where the public can see, what are their sanitary practices in areas not visible to the public. I pity the customer who will wind up wiping their mouth with that napkin that was picked up off the floor. We won't go back!

The food is excellent. Service is top notch. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We have been to the Starlite three times in the past couple of months and twice it's been with large groups of at least ten people. Every plate served is delicious and prices are reasonable. The decor is clean, cheerful and fun. I recommend you check this place out-you won't be disappointed!

The epitome of mediocrity. It was just okay. So so. Middling in food quality. On a scale of 1-10 it was a solid 5! Not great, but not terrible. Service was friendly. Coffee refills were plentiful. Atmosphere was unique, bordering on kitschy. But the food wasn't that great.

Horrible experience from beginning to end. The staff is anything but welcoming, the food is horrible. I have been waiting to go here for a long time so I could take my dog and sit on the patio. Arrived and was greeted by hostess who wasn't thrilled I went outside to sit. Food was not good, had to go in and asked the waitress for my check and she never came back to check on me. When I went in to get her they were all standing around gossiping. I will not be back and I will deathly not recommend it to anybody. Very disappointed.

Half expected the Fonz to show up at this very cool 50's diner. Looking for breakfast, yelp guided us to this location. Large Elvis statue greeted us outside. John Wayne movie showing on wall. Have I gone back in time? The decor was a blast from the past! They had an old style gas pump and an old style speaker from a drive in. Anyone remember drive ins? Diners are few and far between in Florida, but I have lots of great memories of diners in NY. They were the place to go after a night of bar hopping. So the Starlight has a real simple menu with simple comfy food done right! Got a build your own veggie omelet with spinach and cheese with hash browns and toast. Excellent food and service earned this diner a high five star!

Great service, and friendly, the atmosphere is great, themed, and spotless! The food was really good. I had a grilled cheese with three cheeses, fries and tomato basil soup. The soup wasn't my favorite but ok. The basil was so heavy that it developed an anise flavor. So it tasted like tomato and black licorice soup. But it was true to its description, tomato basil soup. I would definitely come again!

Wow this has been one of the best meals I have had in The Cape. My server ,Jamie, & her shadow was at the top of their game Service with a big smile and answering all my questions or observations. I had the Splish Splash. A fish entree. Made with a fish called Pangasius. It reminded me of north Atlantic cod. A large portion breaded with panko breading. MMMM good. The cole slaw was the best so far. They make it fresh and in-house. All other cole slaw that I have tasted seem to come from the same recipe or maker. A real suprise. The decor is a bright 50's & 60's era. Most meals are listed under 11 bucks. I will be back for the listed meatloaf.. For the older crowd, they will like the liver & onions :-( So if in The Cape for good ole comfort food get on down.

We stumbled across the Starlight Diner while out running errands. I'm sure glad we did. The decor grabs you as soon as you walk in. Loved the old style diner chairs, tables and booths. I had the portobello mushroom burger with goat cheese and it was fantastic. The fries were a bit soggy, unfortunately. My husband got an omelet with hashbrowns that he said was very good, and our daughter ordered chicken strips off the kids' menu. That's all she orders when we go out and said these were very good. We had no room for dessert but I'd like to try their malteds. Our waitress said they have a do-wop band perform on Wed. evenings in season. We will definitely be back.

Went to Starlight on Saturday for the first time. Very clean and the look inside is very cool. Like a 60s diner. Service was good, food was good. I hate to rate it 4 stars and not 5 that it deserves but I will explain why. I ordered a country style breakfast that had hashbrowns, sausage gravy, eggs, etc. No where on the menu does it say that the hashbrowns have onions. I'm allergic to onions and lucky I was mixing the eggs and has brown when I came across the onions. When I asked the server if the hashbrowns come with onions and not plain, she said yes. I went ahead and switched plates in front of the server with my wife and she didn't even asked if I wanted something else instead. Atleast try to accommodate my order. Other than that I would recommend this establishment.

We had lunch here about a week ago and everything was well prepared and tasteful. The owner was supervising the cooks in the kitchen, which is always a good sign. Service was top notch. Loved the decor too, sort of back to the 50s with a jukebox on the wall and many other historical features from an earlier time. We will be back soon!

Outstanding 50's themed restaurant. Turquoise furniture, with black & white checkered floor. Say hello to Elvis and Marilyn. Great salt and pepper potato chips. Ask for Rosie from Chicago.

Well I tried this whimsical quaint diner, and I have to say, is I absolutely love it!!!! From its authentic looking atmosphere, to its great tasting food. See pics. I had the blue moon burger with onion strings, and a black & white milk shake. It was all fantastic especially, the onion strings, very addictive. Hubby had the meatloaf and the New England clam chowder. He loved his meal too! Also the service was top-notch also, very nice waitress! Needless to say, we will be going back there again and bring our kids next time!

I have been to Starlight on 3 occasions. The first time was only ok and they weren't long (8) group friendly. Second time was for breakfast and it wasn't bad. Today we went for lunch and not only was the food bad but the service was pretty awful too. I ordered ice tea to drink which was brown tap water with a lemon. For my lunch I ordered chicken tenders that came with fries and slaw. The chicken was painfully over-cooked and instead of salt on the fires they put sugar. When we inquired about it, after we were finished with our meal because the waitress disappeared, the waitress said "Yeah, and?" I should note, the waitress only came to the table 4 times. For $50 for 4 people to eat, we should have gone to Outback.

I ate here for the first time today while on vacation. Great service and best chicken fingers i have ever had. They even had white vinegar for my fries. Cole slaw out of this world too.

Love, Love, Love this place. 50's nostalgia diner. Recently had the mushroom swiss burger with fries, and a chocolate shake. It was very very good! Burger was cooked perfectly, and the bun was soft. The shake was one of the best I've had in the Cape. My wife got a Reuben, and my 3 year old daughter got a grilled cheese. Really want to try the chocolate chip pancakes. I tried to go fathers day, but there was about 10 people waiting outside. Glad to have this restaurant in the Cape! The teal, and white decor is very cool! I'm definitely going to be a regular here!

We went here for a car cruise in that the Gulfshore Mustang Club sponsored today and even though it was very busy (more than 70 cars showed up) the staff handled it extremely well. We started with the onion strings, and they we're very good. Definitely worth ordering again. I then had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was fantastic, some of the best tomato bisque I have had. The grilled cheese was just as advertised. Gooey. And it was G O O D! It has two cheeses, tomato and bacon on it and it was an excellent pairing with the soup. My wife had the bluemoon burger and she said it was very tasty. Prices are right on par with other restaurants in the area. While breakfast prices / value for food seems even better. (Strictly based on menu descriptions & prices) At the end of the cruise in we went back in for sodas and shakes. My wife and I had an orangesicle shake as it was the "special" and it was very refreshing. Our daughter got a chocolate shake and she said it was very good (which is a HUGE compliment coming from a teenager). The sodas are big and they kept the free refills coming!

50s diner concept, cute atmosphere, and the service was friendly and quick. The food (breakfast) was just ok, and the kids portions are more suited for the younger end of the 'kid meal' spectrum; ie our 8 year old was still hungry enough to pick off some of our plates.

Family had beakfast here today. Food and service was good. Prices were reasonable. Didnt care for the coffee. Not a lot of seating so get there early.

Went here this evening with my husband. And it was a jackpot find. Great authentic diner food and the place is neat and clean. And the service was terrific. Usually I am very particular about diners, and this one is a keeper. Definitely will be back!

Interior was very clean and comfortable seating. Great 50's look. Ordered the meatloaf and mixed veggies. Meatloaf was fresh and tasty, definitely homemade, veggies steamed crunchy seasoned nicely, potatoes chunky and a bit bland but still good. Service very good. I'm coming back!
